Assignment 2a - Recorded Innovation Presentations (wt. 7%)
We will craft (I hope iterate on—meaning you've given a similar presentation before) the presentation you use as you take your innovations forward. This innovation can be something you've been thinking about related to hybrid microgrids, other prior topics in the course, or a project you have for another course.
After reviewing the module materials and joining in our first module sync session, practice at least five times, then record and upload your 3-minute "pitch" related to your innovation (or one you are focused on in other aspects of this course). Your pitch can be a call for support for an entrepreneurial venture, a request for customers/clients to switch to a new process or product in some workflow, or any call for change related to a product, process, or service. You are welcome to draw on past assignments as the focus here is on your presentation style, as adapted to our materials for the module.
Note that this assignment includes peer reviews (you will review - randomly assigned - two of the presentations).
If you've never done a Canvas peer-review -- here's a backgrounder: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wkgPvezGpX8
Late contributions incur a 1 point/day deduction from the given grade. Be aware of your timezone. Canvas is set to Pacific.
Assignment 2b will focus on our second session's live grad student presentations. Also during that session, all the recorded presentations will be shared in breakout groups and offered live feedback from members of the breakout.
